Wedding/Event Planning Advice

 

  • It's important that everyone works together to create the safest environment possible, before, during, and after the event!

  •  Check out the guidelines for my state and county of ceremony and reception

  • Invite fewer people

  • Those that cannot attend provide an option for them to watch virtually

  • Send the protocol to invited guest in advance

    • Must wear mask

    • Temperature check

    • If you have the following symptoms to not attend

    • Sanitation station

    • You will be responsible for social distancing

  • Conduct ceremony and reception outdoors

  • Start reception with Champaign toast

  • Enough social distance between tables

  • Eliminate dance floor

  • Plated meal only no buffet

  • No bar (served only)

  • Soft seating and cocktail tables for cocktail hour

  • Increase cocktail servers-take order per table

  • Bridal party to walk solo remain 6 ft apart when aligned

  • DJ or soloist is the way to go. Hire dancers or other form of entertainment

  • Have clear signage (communication is key)

  • All guest must wear mast, except when eating

  • Less seating around each table (table of 10 will now be table of 6).  Set tables 6 ft apart.

  • Create lounge area with enough social distance

  • Entertainment:  Several singers

  • All servers must wear mask and latex gloves

  • Event no longer than 3 hours

  • Assign tables

  • Stager reception time for attendees (invite some to reception only)

  • Host morning or afternoon so the entire event can take place outdoors

  • Rearrange your guest list

  • Let guest know what the bride and groom expect of guest.  Send note in invitation

  • If guest test positive shortly after the wedding we ask that you inform everyone who worked the event immediately.  A list of all attendees should be kept to allow for contact tracing
